Warangal: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stated that the government is committed to developing Warangal to the same level as Hyderabad, making it the next top destination for investments.
Speaking at the “Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu” event, which marked one year of the government and celebrated Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Reddy shared that there are proposals to develop four airports across Telangana. He pointed out that neighboring states like Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra already have multiple airports, while the previous government neglected this sector during its ten-year rule. Reddy also mentioned plans for an underground drainage system and an Outer Ring Road (ORR) for Warangal city.
The Chief Minister criticized the BRS party, accusing it of creating obstacles for the government, particularly concerning the loan-waiver scheme for farmers and the Musi River rejuvenation project. He expressed disappointment that the BJP was also following the same path as BRS. Reddy emphasized that the Congress is in power because of the trust people have placed in them, and the government is dedicated to meeting public expectations despite challenges. In a heated moment, he labeled BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao as the leader of a “Telangana Drunkard Association” and vowed never to let the “KCR plant” grow again.
Reddy sharply criticized KCR for not attending the Assembly sessions, accusing him of spending time at his farmhouse and plotting conspiracies. He humorously suggested that the government could open a wine shop at KCR’s farmhouse and provide him with free liquor so he could continue sleeping there undisturbed.
The Chief Minister challenged KCR to attend the Assembly and participate in discussions. He said that the government is open to correcting its mistakes if KCR provides constructive feedback, but will not tolerate any attempts to defame them.
Reddy also lashed out at Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, mocking him for calling himself a “Gujarat Gulam” (Gujarat’s servant). He advised Kishan Reddy to cleanse himself of his sins by washing Sonia Gandhi’s feet and sprinkling the water on his head. He added that Kishan Reddy has no right to remain in Telangana.
In a final jab, Revanth Reddy called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “traitor of Telangana,” accusing him of mocking the state on the floor of Parliament. He passionately declared that Sonia Gandhi is like a mother to him and to the four crore people of Telangana, saying the state’s existence is due to her efforts.
