A Kavi Sammelan (poetry gathering) was organized at the District Central Library in Asifabad on Sunday. Several poets from the region attended the event and entertained the audience with their poetry and lyrics.
Assistant Commissioner of Government Examinations, Maryala Uday Babu, participated in the event as the chief guest, along with Library Secretary Sadanandam. They honored the poets with the help of the library staff.
During his speech, Udaya Babu praised poets, describing them as social reformers. He encouraged them to create works that promote social awareness and inspire positive change.
Akasam President Nalgonda Ramesh, Secretary Sriram Satyanarayana, and Honorary Adviser Avadhani M. Narayanamurthy were also present at the event. Poets like Revathi, Srilatha, and others recited their poems, adding to the cultural richness of the Sammelan.
