Cyberabad Police Raid Firm for Illegal Call Conversion

On Thursday, Cyberabad police conducted a raid on a firm located in a well-known shopping mall in KPHB, Hyderabad. The raid was carried out after allegations that the company was involved in converting international calls into local calls for financial gain.

The firm, identified as RB Technologies, was reportedly operating within the mall as a cyber café. According to the police, staff at the establishment were found to be disguising the identities of international callers and making their calls appear as local ones.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the firm’s owner had engaged in this unlawful activity to earn easy money, a senior police officer stated. However, the police clarified that there was no indication of links to terrorist groups or other suspicious networks.

The case is under investigation, and officials are examining all possible angles to determine the full extent of the illegal operation.
