Hyderabad: A special awareness program was held to educate students about cyber safety, drug abuse, and how to handle emergencies. The session was led by North Zone DCP, S Rashmi Perumal, and attended by more than 115 students from Classes IX to XII, along with staff members from the MSB Educational Institute.
The session highlighted the importance of emergency helplines. Students were taught how and when to use Dial 100 to contact the police quickly and 1930 to report cyber fraud. They were encouraged to speak up about issues and help spread awareness among their friends.
To make the session engaging, short educational videos were shown. These videos showed real-life examples of cyber fraud and the dangers of drug use. The goal was to help students understand the risks and learn how to stay safe.
The police stressed that community involvement is important for the growth and safety of schools. Students actively took part in the session by asking questions and sharing their thoughts. Police officers answered their questions and advised them to stay alert, take precautions, and be ready for any emergencies.
The school management thanked the police for organizing this useful session. They said it helped students become more aware and responsible. They also mentioned that such programs help build trust between the police and the public, and prepare young people to face challenges with confidence.
