Khammam – Despite the tough financial conditions in Telangana, the government continues to support low-income families, said Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
On Monday, the minister handed out Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to 14 families from Kusumanchi mandal. The event took place at the MLA camp office in the Paleru constituency.
The Kalyana Lakshmi scheme offers financial help to families from weaker sections during their daughters’ marriages. It aims to reduce the burden of wedding expenses.
Several key officials attended the event, including Rayala Nageswara Rao, Chairman of the State Warehousing Corporation, and Muvva Vijay Babu, Chairman of the State Irrigation Development Corporation. Karunasri, the local Tehsildar, along with staff from various departments and local leaders, also joined the program.
The minister said the government is committed to helping people in need, even during difficult times. He promised that welfare schemes will continue to reach every eligible family.
