In Nelakondapalli, Khammam, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy spoke at a ration card event on Wednesday. He credited the formation of the Indiramma government to the support of the poor.
The Minister criticized the previous administration for not issuing any new ration cards in the past decade, which affected many impoverished families. In contrast, the current government has provided 16 lakh new ration cards. He mentioned that fine rice is now available and farmers receive a Rs 500 bonus per quintal. Additionally, Rs 21,000 crore in farm loans has been waived in ten months.
For women’s welfare, Rs 5,000 crore is allocated for free bus travel. The aim is to help one crore women become millionaires.
Regarding the Indiramma Housing scheme, funds are deposited into beneficiaries’ accounts every Monday, and homes will be distributed in three phases. He promised to ensure every eligible family receives a house, likening himself to an elder son standing by the poor.
The event included several notable attendees like Irrigation Development Corporation Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, district Collector Anudeep Durishetty, and DCCB Director Tulluri Brahmaiah.
