Hyderabad Transport Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, responded to comments made by BRS working president and former minister KTR about the poor livelihood of sarpanches. Prabhakar stated that it was the murderers who organized the funeral.

During a press conference, Prabhakar asked KTR a series of questions. He questioned whether it was true that sarpanches had committed suicide due to a lack of bills during KTR’s 10-year rule. He also asked if it was true that sarpanches were harassed in the name of jobs and suspensions. Prabhakar further questioned the credibility of KTR’s involvement in spiritual gatherings, considering his track record. He reminded everyone that during BRS’s rule, there were Rs. 1,100 crore worth of pending bills and 20 sarpanches had taken their own lives.
