Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has called on citizens to help tackle the issue of lake encroachments in their local areas. He urged residents to share any information they have about lakes that have been taken over by land developers or have decreased in size over the years.

The Minister, who is currently in charge of Hyderabad, emphasized that if people notice any lakes in their locality that have been encroached upon, they should report it to the authorities with solid evidence. This will allow the government to take action against those responsible.

He reassured the public that the ongoing efforts to address lake encroachments are not politically motivated. “Even if the encroachers are powerful or have political connections, the government will still take action,” he said.
