Heavy rains have caused major damage to the railway tracks in Mahabubabad district, especially along the Kesamudram, Intikanna, and Tallapusala routes.
Due to this damage, train services in these areas have been completely halted. The South Central Railway has had to cancel several trains and reroute others as a result.
Railway officials have started repair work on the damaged tracks. Around 500 railway staff and workers have been sent to fix the tracks as quickly as possible.
However, the repair efforts are facing difficulties because of ongoing floodwaters in the area. To help with the repairs, excavators are being used to divert the floodwater.
