Revanth Reddy, president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, announced that he will be accepting applications from MLA ticket aspirants for the Telangana Assembly elections until August 25. In a media conference held at Gandhi Bhavan, he explained that after receiving the applications, surveys will be conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates. These surveys will assess the strengths and weaknesses of each applicant, taking into consideration social equations and their individual strengths.

The Pradesh Election Committee will then send a filtered list of candidates to the Screening Committee, who will make the final selection. If any issues arise with a candidate, it will be sent to the CWC for further consideration. As for the application fee, SC and ST aspirants are required to pay Rs 25,000, while BC and OC candidates must pay Rs 50,000.
