KTR Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, visited journalist Shankar’s residence after he was attacked by alleged Congress members. According to Rao, Shankar was targeted for exposing land-grabbing issues in Kodangal. Despite the government’s attempts to silence Shankar, he survived the attack.

Rao warned that if attacks on Shankar continue, the party will organize protests. He criticized the Congress for sending armed individuals to harm Shankar, but their plans were thwarted by locals and CCTV footage. Rao accused the government of being behind the attack and called for a fair investigation by the police.
