Speaking at a press conference, the association’s president, Ch Bala Brahmachary, said they had been appealing to the state government for months regarding their demands. The Health Minister responded positively and requested a detailed written account of past incidents and procedures.

The association also alleged that RMPs and PMPs were not given recognition under the previous BRS government because of T Harish Rao, who was then the Health Minister. They accused BRS leaders of ignoring their concerns for ten years and now pretending to care after moving into the opposition.

The association urged RMPs and PMPs not to fall for the BRS’s tactics. They also called on their members to participate in a protest (dharna) scheduled for February 18.
