Hyderabad/Kothagudem: On Friday evening, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka officially handed over job appointment letters to 21 individuals at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. These individuals were given jobs in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) under compassionate grounds, thanks to a recent increase in the age limit for such appointments.
The Telangana government had earlier raised the age cap from 35 to 40 years, helping many families who had lost their loved ones working in Singareni. The new hires are family members of deceased SCCL employees, and they qualified under the revised policy.
Speaking at the event, Vikramarka encouraged the new recruits to take their roles seriously. “Don’t look for shortcuts,” he said. “Work hard and help the company grow.”
N Balaram, Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL, also spoke at the event. He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for approving the age relaxation. Balaram said the government’s support would continue to help the organization expand and serve its workers better.
The move brought relief and hope to many families who were previously ineligible due to the age restriction. With this change, more people now have a chance to secure government jobs and support their households.
This decision is seen as a positive step by the state to stand by workers’ families and strengthen public sector employment.
