    Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) held a meeting on Monday to discuss important safety measures needed for the upcoming monsoon season. Ensuring safety during this time is a top priority for the railway zone.

    During the meeting, officials were reminded to strictly follow all safety procedures. They were instructed to increase patrolling and keep a close watch on vulnerable areas, bridges, and places that experience heavy rainfall. This is to prevent any unsafe situations from arising.

    Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, gave specific directions to intensify patrolling of tracks and ensure proper supervision of track maintenance work. He also emphasized the importance of working closely with State government and irrigation officials during periods of heavy rain.

    In addition to discussing safety measures, Jain reviewed the zone’s freight loading performance. It was decided that efforts would be made to explore new areas for freight traffic and to increase the speed of freight trains.
