Hyderabad: Officials from South Central Railway (SCR) inspected the Kurnool City to Secunderabad railway section on Thursday.
Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, began his inspection at Sri Bala Brahmeswara-Jogulamba Halt Station. He looked at the facilities available for passengers, station equipment, and the surrounding area. He also reviewed the progress of redevelopment work at the station, which is being done under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) at a cost of Rs. 6.07 crore.
During his visit, Jain also checked the construction of a new railway line that will connect to the upcoming Coach Midlife Rehabilitation Workshop (CMLR) in Kurnool. Officials explained the latest updates on the project to him.
Later, Jain inaugurated a new sports complex at the Kurnool City Railway Station. He toured the gym, children’s play area, and stadium. He also planted a tree sapling. Jain said the stadium would help railway employees and their families stay fit and improve their sports skills.
Finally, he conducted a rear window inspection while traveling between Kurnool and Secunderabad. During the journey, he checked safety features such as track curves, slopes, bridges, signals, and track maintenance.
