Hyderabad: Between October 1 and November 10, nearly three crore passengers traveled from the South Central Railway (SCR) network to different destinations.
To help people traveling for festivals like Dussehra, Deepavali, and Chhath Puja, SCR ran about 860 extra train trips during October and November 2024.
This number is 37% higher compared to the 626 special trains that were operated during the same period last year, according to SCR officials. These additional trains were arranged to manage the increased demand for travel during the festive season.
