On Tuesday night, the State level task force of prohibition and excise department conducted raids at Secunderabad Railway Station based on a tip-off about smuggling non-duty paid liquor. They arrested three people named Anwesh, Narender, and Balakrishna and seized 87 bottles from them. The team was led by N Anji Reddy and received help from Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police Secunderabad.

The officials reported that the gang brought the liquor from Haryana with the intention of selling it in the city illegally. They also stated that it is necessary to have an import license to bring liquor into the State from outside.
