Hyderabad experienced a bold robbery attempt on Tuesday morning. A group of six targeted Khazana Jewellery in Chandanagar. The gang entered the shop soon after it opened and fired several shots, injuring the deputy manager. They demanded locker keys at gunpoint. When the staff resisted, the robbers fired their weapons and caused chaos.
To avoid being identified, the gang shot at the CCTV cameras and smashed display units. The panic led to a rush, and staff quickly alerted the police. The injured manager received immediate medical attention. During the commotion, one employee discreetly contacted the authorities. As police approached, the robbers escaped on motorcycles, heading towards Zaheerabad.
The police reported that the gang struck just five minutes after the store opened, around 10:40 am. Two shots were fired from a pistol during the incident. The exact amount of stolen jewellery remains unknown.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty visited the crime scene with forensic experts. He formed ten special teams to catch the robbers and is reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
Telangana police have increased security at district borders and are monitoring escape routes, especially towards Zaheerabad. The investigation continues.
