In Hyderabad, the disqualification of BRS legislator Danam Nagender is still uncertain, with Speaker Gaddam Prasad promising to investigate the issue. The BRS legislators submitted a petition against Nagender, who recently joined the Congress, at the Speaker’s residence on Monday. MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, speaking to reporters after the meeting, explained that they demanded Nagender’s disqualification in accordance with the Anti-Defection Law and the Constitution. He emphasized that action against Nagender must be taken within three months, as per a Supreme Court ruling. Reddy also criticized CM Revanth Reddy for his previous remarks about defection and questioned Nagender’s decision to switch parties.
