Nizamabad/Hyderabad: BJP leader N Ramchander Rao dismissed TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud’s vote theft claims as unfounded. He pointed out that both Congress and BJP each won eight MP seats using the same voting system. Rao humorously suggested that the issue lies more with Rahul Gandhi’s thinking than with vote theft.
During his visit to Nizamabad on Monday, Rao spoke to booth-level members in Indur. He praised and critiqued political issues, while also calling for change. Rao extended birthday wishes to Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, commending his dedication to public service and his grassroots efforts.
Rao highlighted Arvind’s humanitarian work, noting that the Dharmapuri Arvind Trust has distributed Rs 25 lakh for activist welfare. He credited Arvind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the creation of the Turmeric Board in Nizamabad, which Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated.
Rao criticized Congress’s inconsistent stance on reservations, accusing them of promoting religious quotas for Muslims while claiming to support 42% BC reservations. He reiterated the BJP’s demand for 46% BC reservations in local elections.
Addressing urea supplies, Rao stated there is no shortage in Telangana and accused Congress of creating a false crisis. He said district collectors confirmed no shortage and labeled it as artificial panic.
Rao condemned both Congress and BRS for misusing central funds and not holding overdue local elections. He demanded a CBI investigation into the Kaleshwaram project and phone tapping issues, accusing Congress of protecting BRS to avoid responsibility.
He emphasized the central government’s infrastructure efforts, mentioning the Rs 3,000 crore Nizamabad-Nirmal-Adilabad railway line and several national highways. He also highlighted welfare schemes like free rice, toilets, and youth loans as examples of the BJP’s commitment to development.
Rao noted the Modi government’s support for Telangana farmers, mentioning the Rs 6,000 deposited into the accounts of 32 lakh farmers through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. In contrast, he criticized the Congress government for not fulfilling promises like fee reimbursement and housing for the poor.
Rao called for political change, urging the people of Telangana to give BJP a chance for a brighter future. He hinted at growing support, mentioning that leaders from both Congress and BRS are considering joining BJP.
With local elections nearing, Rao encouraged voters to support BJP candidates, promising that the central government would enhance development in Telangana.
