Students and teachers at Sitaphalmandi Government High School in Hyderabad are facing difficulties during ongoing exams as the school building was suddenly dismantled without notice. This has left students without proper seating arrangements, and teachers without a temporary place to teach. The government junior college and government degree college have been shifted to a nearby community hall, but no place has been allocated for the government school.

The school was established in 1952 and holds 750 students. Rs 29.75 crore were sanctioned under the MLA funds for the construction of the school and college at its premises. The headmaster of Sitaphalmandi Government High School, VK Murthy, said that there was no prior notice given about the demolition and that they are unaware of the building plan.

Sources say that only 1/3 of the land area was allotted for school construction, whereas 2/3 of the land was allotted to construct colleges, which is not sufficient for schools. There is also no mention of provision of a new playground for school students. A teacher named Rohini suggests that the Education department rethinks the school plan and provides an alternative solution.
