Following a land encroachment complaint, T Vajresh Yadav, the Congress Party leader for Medchal Assembly Constituency, along with officials from the Medchal District Revenue and Endowment Department, conducted an unexpected visit to Chengicherla, located in Boduppal Corporation, Medipalli Mandal, Medchal District.

At the location, Konda Surekha informed the media that 30.28 acres of land, split into 10.33 acres (Survey No 33/8), 13 acres (Survey No 33/9), and 6.33 acres (Survey No 33/10), were initially transferred to the TLP Charitable Trust in 1968 by Thotakura Yellaiah Yadav, Ramaiah Chowdhury, and others. In 1976, this land was handed over to the Endowment Department under the Ceiling Act and has been under their control since. The Minister stated that previous Congress administrations consistently safeguarded this land. She expressed anger at recent attempts to seize these areas and warned that any such actions would lead to land recovery and the application of the PD Act on the offenders.
