Pratik Jain, an official from ITDA, stated that repairs for ashram schools, hostels, and student facilities under the tribal welfare department must be finished by May 20. Photos of the completed repairs should be sent to him for review.
During a surprise inspection on Thursday at Uppsaka Tribal Welfare Boys Ashram School in Burgumphad Mandal, Jain checked the dormitories, classrooms, toilets, washrooms, and other facilities for students. He emphasized the need for patching cracks on walls, plastering ventilation outlets in dormitories, cleaning school classrooms and washroom toilets with acid and phenol, and ensuring all children have beds to sleep on.
Jain also instructed the headmaster to provide spacious rooms, one fan for every three beds, dispose of unnecessary items for school use, and keep the school premises and classrooms clean. Additionally, he urged for regular cleaning of drains around the school, planting of plants in empty areas, and taking responsibility for their maintenance. The inspection was attended by DD Tribal Welfare Officer Manemma, School HM Krishna, and school staff.
