    Hyderabad: The Chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), Prof. V Balakista Reddy, emphasized the importance of using technology in education to meet global standards. He noted that this is especially important in the 21st century, which presents many challenges.

    He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a three-day national conference on Indian Knowledge Systems-2024. The event, hosted by Osmania University, has brought together top scholars and speakers from all over the country. The conference began on Monday and will end on October 30. Its main focus is on how traditional Indian educational ideas can be combined with modern technology.

    Prof. Reddy also spoke about the need for educational institutions to adopt new and innovative teaching methods. He said that while doing so, it’s important to also preserve India’s rich educational heritage, which has long promoted holistic learning.

    He introduced the term “Covidisation” to describe the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its influence on education and other sectors. He also remarked that the 21st century will be particularly significant for Asian countries, especially India.

    Prof. Kumar Molugaram, the Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the university’s focus on encouraging discussions about both traditional and modern educational practices.

    Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati, shared her thoughts on the importance of ancient wisdom in today’s fast-changing educational environment. The conference includes panel discussions, workshops, and presentations where scholars and educators can share ideas and strategies.

    At the event, participants will explore how Indian Knowledge Systems can improve learning and better prepare students for future challenges. This initiative is seen as a key step in connecting ancient knowledge with modern education, helping people better understand India’s educational history.

    The event was attended by several notable individuals, including Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Prof. B Sudhakar Reddy, Laxman, Murali Manohar, Prof. Ghanta Ramesh, Prof. Ravindranath, and Prof. Mrunalini. As part of the event, Prof. Reddy also released several books on ancient Vedic knowledge systems.
