Hyderabad: The Telangana Chamber of Trade and Industries Promotion (TECHTIP) has asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to introduce the long-pending T-Prime scheme. This scheme is aimed at helping industrialists from minority communities, similar to the T-Pride scheme that supports SC and ST industrialists.

Abul Fateh Syed Bandagi Badesha Riyaz Quadri, the Founder Director of TECHTIP, requested the Chief Minister to make an announcement on this scheme during the Minority Welfare Day event, which will be held on Monday. He expressed disappointment that the T-Prime scheme, introduced by the previous BRS government eight years ago, has remained on paper without being implemented.

Quadri explained that, although funds for the T-Prime scheme were allocated in the State budget, the lack of specific guidelines has delayed its implementation. Even after a memo was issued to the Minority Welfare department to create these guidelines, no significant progress has been made in the last eight years.

He further highlighted the findings of the Sachar and Ranganath Mishra Committee reports, which show that the living conditions of Muslims are worse than those of Dalits. He pointed out that many minority communities work in sectors like transport, hotels, services, and construction, but they often struggle to get financial support. By encouraging entrepreneurs in these fields, the government could help uplift these communities.

Quadri urged the Chief Minister to show the government’s dedication to improving the welfare of minorities by officially announcing the launch of the T-Prime scheme during the National Minority Welfare Day on November 11.
