Hyderabad is set to expand its metro system with the Hyderabad Metro Phase-II, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy seeks quick approval from Union Minister for Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar. During a meeting in Delhi, the Chief Minister highlighted the project’s significance to the growing city.
The proposed metro expansion covers a 76.4 km stretch. It aims to ease road congestion and support sustainable urban growth. The state government is ready to partner with the central government on this Rs 24,269 crore venture.
Revanth Reddy emphasized the submitted project report, complete with requested amendments. He urged the union minister to secure approvals from relevant departments, stressing the metro’s importance. The meeting included key figures like State Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and MPs Mallu Ravi and K Raghuveer Reddy, among others.
