Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently highlighted the harmonious coexistence of different religions in India. He compared this unity to the influence of the Gandhi family during a tribute event for the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra at Charminar. At the event, Reddy honored Rajiv Gandhi by placing flowers at his portrait.
For 35 years, the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra has represented the spirit of the nation, according to Reddy. He praised Mahatma Gandhi for his fight against British colonial rule. Reddy emphasized that the assassins of Gandhi posed a greater danger than the colonial rulers after independence.
He also praised Indira Gandhi for her ultimate sacrifice to preserve the country’s unity and integrity.
Reddy spoke about current projects, mentioning that a caste census is in progress, along with several welfare programs inspired by Rahul Gandhi. He also announced plans to propose a resolution in the assembly to set the eligibility age for Members of the Legislative Assembly at 21 years.
