Hyderabad: The Telangana government, led by the Congress, has set aside Rs. 1.30 crore to help families hit by recent heavy rains. They will provide compensation to those who lost family members or livestock due to the severe weather.
Families who lost a loved one will receive Rs. 5 lakh each. Those who experienced livestock losses can get up to Rs. 4 lakh. If someone loses a goat or sheep, they will receive Rs. 5,000.
This aid will support people in the hardest-hit districts like Kamareddy, Medak, Asifabad, Suryapet, Bhuvanagiri, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Mulugu, Mahabubnagar, and Sircilla. The government has told local collectors to ensure these payments are made quickly.
