The Telangana state government is preparing the budget for the upcoming financial year (2024-25). The finance department has asked all departments to submit proposals based on the government’s priorities. The departments are focusing on fulfilling the six guarantees made before the elections.

The finance department will hold meetings with all departments to discuss the budget proposals. These meetings will start on the 18th of this month and two departments will be addressed each day. During these meetings, the allocation of funds for election promises and job appointments will be discussed.

It is unclear whether the state government will present an interim budget or a full budget, considering the central government’s introduction of the Vote-on-Account budget before the Lok Sabha elections.
