Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has given important instructions to help people affected by heavy rains and floods in the state.
The Chief Minister held an emergency meeting to discuss the situation caused by the continuous rain. He carefully reviewed the areas that have been hit the hardest. During the meeting, Revanth Reddy spoke with ministers such as Bhatti Vikramarka, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Damodara Raja Narasimha, and Jupalli Krishna Rao over the phone. He asked them about the ongoing relief efforts in the flooded areas.
Revanth Reddy also had a teleconference with top officials, including the Chief Secretary, DGP, and heads of various departments like State Municipal Administration, Energy, Panchayati Raj, HYDRA, and Irrigation. He instructed them to stay alert for the next 24 hours.
The Chief Minister ordered district Collectors, Superintendents of Police (SPs), and officials from Revenue, Irrigation, and Municipal departments to visit the flood-affected areas in person. He also told all officials from important departments to cancel any leave and immediately join the relief and rescue operations.
Officials from emergency services were asked to send regular updates on the situation to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The authorities have been instructed to provide immediate help to people in the flood-hit areas.
The Chief Minister has also asked people to stay indoors unless it’s an emergency. He advised residents in low-lying areas to be extra careful and to contact authorities if they need help.
Finally, Revanth Reddy directed ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to stay in their areas and lead the relief efforts. He also requested Congress party workers to stay alert and assist in the relief activities around the clock.
