Gadwal: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu shared plans to boost solar power in the state, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
On Saturday, from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, the Deputy CM held a meeting with district collectors. They discussed two main projects: setting up solar plants on government buildings and the Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme on ROFR (Recognition of Forest Rights) lands.
The Deputy CM asked district collectors to send the parking and canteen plans of their offices to Hyderabad. Since all collectorate buildings follow the same design, Hyderabad will provide standardized solar installation plans.
Solar power systems will be added to all government offices, from Gram Panchayat offices to the State Secretariat, to generate more electricity. Collectors must submit the necessary details to the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department within a week.
Solar panels will also be installed on government schools, junior colleges, degree colleges, and other higher education buildings. The Deputy CM urged collectors to quickly provide lists of these buildings.
Regarding the Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme, he emphasized its importance and asked collectors to ensure timely submission of information.
Officials from the Energy Department joined the video conference with the district collectors.
