In Khammam, the District Collector VP Gautham inspected the commissioning process of EVMs and VVPATs to ensure no mistakes were made. The inspection took place at Sri Chaitanya Engineering College in Ponnekal, Khammam Rural Mandal for Khammam and Palair assembly segments.

During the inspection, Gautham emphasized the importance of understanding the connections between the Ballot Unit, Control Unit, and VVPATs, as well as following the correct procedures. This includes opening the ballot screen in the ballot unit, properly arranging the ballot papers, and sealing the ballot screen with an address tag. Additionally, only the necessary number of candidates and notes should be revealed in the ballot unit.

Various officials including Khammam Assembly Segment Assistant Returning Officer, Khammam Municipal Commissioner Adarsha Surabhi, and Palair Assembly ARO M Rajeshwari were present during the inspection to ensure everything was done correctly.
