Hyderabad: On Thursday, Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha introduced the new e-Office system at the Telangana Secretariat. This step aims to enhance how the department works by making operations faster, more transparent, and efficient.
Officials stated that this modernization is set to transform the Endowments Department’s internal processes. The e-Office launch was attended by Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, Endowments Commissioner S Venkata Rao, and other senior officials.
During the event, Konda Surekha highlighted that the e-Office system marks a significant move in administrative reform. She explained that it allows quick file processing with no delays and digital tracking prevents confusion or blame among staff. Files will also be protected from theft, loss, or damage.
The Minister elaborated that the digital system mimics the manual file process with added convenience. Files can be managed from anywhere, anytime, eliminating the need to be physically present in the office. Urgent files can receive immediate attention. She mentioned plans to implement this system in Yadagirigutta and 30 other temples across the state, reducing the role of intermediaries in file handling.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) developed the e-Office application. NIC’s Joint Director Raghava Chary and Technical Manager Kavita were present at the launch.
At the event, the Minister processed the first file using the e-Office system, approving a compassionate appointment for Naveen Kumar under the government job scheme.
Minister Surekha praised Commissioner Venkata Rao for his active role in the project’s success. She noted his dedication over the past 15 days in overseeing computerization and staff training, which was crucial for the project’s realization.
