Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGANB) and Narsingi Police recently arrested three people, including a 22-year-old Nigerian, in Manikonda. They seized 107 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of Ecstasy pills, valued at Rs 30 lakh.
The bust took place at Anuhar Coral Bells in Alkapuri Township. Authorities acted on information about a drug route between Goa and Hyderabad. Those arrested include Chukwumeka Wisdom Onyeka, also known as Victor Chukwu or Major Cartel, a B Sc (IT) student from Gokul Global University in Gujarat, originally from Imo State, Nigeria; Gopishetty Rajesh, 40; and Bommadevara Veera Raju, 32, from West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.
Victor Chukwu had been previously caught selling cocaine, leading to the confiscation of his Sudanese passport.
Rajesh and Veera Raju initially used drugs but later connected with influential people. They began buying drugs at high prices and continued dealing even after past arrests by Raidurgam Police. They frequently traveled to Goa to buy narcotics, selling them to the elite in Hyderabad.
On May 29, according to the police, Phani Raj, a regular client, organized a rave at a farmhouse in Aziz Nagar, Moinabad. Rajesh provided 5 grams of cocaine after meeting him in Mokila. On May 31, Rajesh went to Mangalagiri to deliver another 15 grams to Phani Raj.
Police noted that the operation is led by Max, a Nigerian drug lord who controls the supply from abroad, allegedly using people with student visas and fake identities.
