Food Poisoning Incident Reported in Hyderabad

Concerns about food safety in Hyderabad are growing after another case of food poisoning was reported in the Ranga Reddy District.

Three friends fell seriously ill after eating biryani and grilled chicken from Aroma Restaurant. Shortly after their meal, they experienced symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea. These are common signs of food poisoning, which occurs when food is contaminated with harmful germs or toxins.

As their condition worsened, the friends sought medical help. Doctors confirmed that they were suffering from food poisoning. Following the incident, the victims filed a formal complaint with the Food Safety authorities.

The group has accused Aroma Restaurant of serving poor-quality food that made them sick. They also demanded action against both the restaurant and the food delivery app through which they had ordered the meal on November 20. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

This case has once again highlighted the ongoing food safety issues in Hyderabad. Just last month, a 29-year-old woman tragically died after eating momos from a roadside stall in Nandi Nagar, Banjara Hills. Over 50 other people who ate at the same stall also became ill.

In response to these incidents, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has launched a citywide crackdown on unsafe food practices. The aim of this initiative is to ensure that food sold in the city meets proper safety and hygiene standards, protecting public health.
