Hyderabad: The Income Tax Department filed legal cases against three individuals — Aravalli Prabhakar Rao (son of Yadagiri), Gummi Narender Reddy (son of Ranga Reddy), and Kolan Jaipal Reddy (son of Ram Reddy). They were accused of trying to avoid paying taxes, which is a crime under Section 276C(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

These cases were presented before the Special Court that handles economic crimes in Hyderabad. After reviewing the evidence, the court found all three men guilty.

The judge ruled that the three had made investments using money from unknown or secret sources. As a result, they were each sentenced to one year in prison and ordered to pay a fine of ₹50,000.
