The Telangana State Haj Committee will start a vaccination camp for Haj pilgrims from Monday across the State. District Haj pilgrims can get vaccinated at district hospitals on all working days until the vaccination process is complete. The district societies and voluntary organizations will work with the District Medical Health Officer to set up the vaccination camps.
The vaccination camps will offer meningitis vaccine to all Haj pilgrims, seasonal influenza vaccine to those over 70 years old, and polio drops to all pilgrims. Twin cities Haj pilgrims will receive vaccinations at specific government hospitals. The pilgrims will be vaccinated in phases to manage crowds, and the schedule will be shared on the Telegram channel.
Pilgrims are advised to cooperate with hospital staff and maintain discipline during the vaccination process. They should get a health booklet from the designated hospitals or district societies. Vaccinations will be conducted at district hospitals due to hot weather and the age of the pilgrims.
Separate arrangements will be made for male and female pilgrims at all hospitals between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. Details about the vaccination camp at Asra Hospital will be announced soon. For more information, pilgrims can join the official Telegram channel or contact the office during office hours.
