The Telangana Postal Circle and the Endowments Department are teaming up to offer devotees the chance to order Bangaram (jaggery) during the SammakkaSaralamma Jatara at Medaram in Mulugu district from February 21 to 24.
During the four-day Jatara at the temple, devotees can order Bangaram (jaggery) and then have it dispatched as Prasadam. Booking for this service is open from Wednesday until February 24 at all post offices. Devotees can fill out an order form and pay the required charges in cash at any post office. The offering of Bangaram (jaggery) will be priced at Rs 60 per Kg and can be done online through e-payment at all head post offices and sub offices in India.
In addition to the cost of the jaggery, a fee of Rs 135 will be collected from devotees for the postal charges associated with delivering the Prasadam via Speed Post. This is a convenient opportunity for devotees to offer Bangaram (jaggery) to SammakkaSaralamma during the Medaram Jathara right at their doorstep.
