Hyderabad: The Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TS UTF) is planning to hold a round table conference on Monday. The purpose of the meeting is to talk about the different problems that Gurukul schools in the State are facing.
One of the main topics at the conference will be the adjustment of school hours. The Gurukul schools used to operate from 8 am to 4 pm. However, the timings were recently changed to 9 am to 4:30 pm.
The TS UTF State Committee, along with experts like educationists, child psychologists, and child rights activists, will gather to discuss why the new timings may not be practical. They will also be joined by representatives from parents, students, and teachers’ unions.
The goal of the conference is to come up with school hours that better meet the psychological needs of the students and propose these new timings to the government.
