The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS) have signed an agreement with the Institut Français en Inde (IFI – The French Institute in India) to teach French in their schools. Initially, French will be taught in about 20 TSWREIS/TTWREIS schools and may be expanded to other schools later. It will be taught to students in Classes V to XII.

As part of the collaboration, the French Institute will train teachers from TSWREIS and TTWREIS in communicative French. Students will also have access to the cultural and academic resources provided by the institute. Learning French offers several benefits, including better job opportunities, improved cultural understanding, access to higher education institutions, enhanced cognitive abilities, and personal development through travel.
