Two Andhra Pradesh police officers die in Yadadri accident

A tragic accident occurred in Khaitapur, Choutuppal mandal, Yadadri district, leading to the deaths of two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and injury to two others. DSPs Chakradhar Rao and Shantha Rao were traveling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad when their vehicle lost control and hit a roadside divider.

The Scorpio SUV was reportedly on an official mission related to a case. It went off course and ended up on the opposite side of the road, where a lorry from the opposite direction struck it, causing severe damage to the vehicle’s front.

Emergency teams quickly arrived and worked to remove the bodies trapped inside the wreck. ASP Prasad and driver Narsinga Rao suffered injuries and were taken to LB Nagar Kamineni Hospital for treatment.

Both officers were part of the Intelligence and Security Wing of the Andhra Pradesh Police. Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Anitha expressed deep shock and offered condolences to the families of the deceased officers.
