In Hyderabad, the police arrested two robbers who were snatching cell phones using weapons. The police fired two rounds during a theft in Secunderabad.
The arrested individuals were Masood-ur-Rahman (31) from Falaknuma and Fazal-ur Rahman (22) from Bholakpur, Musheerabad. The police found a bike, a large dagger, a small dagger, and three mobile phones with them. Masood had been involved in three cases in Cyberabad before.
Masood dropped out of school and worked as a welder and cab driver before turning to robbery for quick money. He and his cousin Fazal used daggers to intimidate people while stealing. They would ride a two-wheeler to scout for targets in the city.
While in Secunderabad, they robbed a person near a temple and threatened him with their daggers. They also tried to snatch a mobile from another pedestrian but were chased by the police. The offenders managed to escape despite being shot at by the police.
The North Zone DCP mentioned that a special team was able to arrest the accused within 48 hours of the incident.
