Gadwal: At a seminar held in Madanapalli village, Principal Senior Civil Judge V Srinivas highlighted the urgent need for legal knowledge among workers in the unorganised sector.

The event, led by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), aimed to help workers understand their legal rights and how to access government support. These workers often include those in small businesses, home-based jobs, and informal employment. They play a big role in the economy but face serious problems like low pay, no job security, and no social benefits.

Judge Srinivas spoke directly with the workers. He listened to their concerns and explained key laws that protect their rights. He pointed out that many of these workers are not officially registered, which stops them from getting government benefits.

He stressed the importance of holding essential documents such as the Labor Card and e-SHRAM Card. These cards are necessary to receive help from various government welfare programs. He warned workers to avoid middlemen, who might cheat or misguide them. Instead, he advised using official centers like MeeSeva for applying to schemes and handling legal matters.

The judge encouraged workers to bring any legal issues to the District Legal Services Authority. He said that submitting a written application would help the authority provide proper legal advice and support.

Legal experts V Rajender, B Srinivasulu, and Lakshmana Swamy also took part in the seminar. They spoke about how the legal system is working to support and protect unorganised workers through education and free legal help.

This program shows the judiciary’s strong push to reach underserved communities. By bringing legal awareness directly to local villages, they hope to give unorganised workers the tools they need to protect their rights and improve their lives.
