The Meteorological Department has warned of rain in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to a weather trough stretching from the northeast Arabian Sea to the northwest Bay of Bengal. This has caused significant changes in the atmosphere across various states. A surface circulation has been detected from north Gujarat to West Bengal’s Gangetic coast. Officials expect light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in parts of north Coastal Andhra and Yanam.
The Amaravati Meteorological Department forecasts wind speeds of 40 to 50 km/h. Residents should be cautious as light to moderate rain and storms might affect Rayalaseema. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also predicts heavy rain across the country over the next three days.
In Telangana, a rain forecast indicates a trough forming over Bikaner, Jaipur, Datia, Siddhi, Asansol, and Kolkata, stretching southeast to the northeast Bay of Bengal. As a result, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some districts today, tomorrow, and Monday, with wind speeds reaching 30 to 40 km/h.
Officials predict moderate rain in some areas, especially in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal Malkajgiri this Saturday. Residents should stay alert and ready for weather changes.
