Webinar held at OU to support marginalised communities

Hyderabad: Osmania University held a special online seminar (webinar) on Friday to honor the birth anniversaries of Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and Dr B R Ambedkar. The theme of the event was “Ensuring Long-term Empowerment of Marginalised Sections through Sustainable Development and Constitutional Policies.”

More than 225 people joined the webinar, showing great interest and support. Two guest speakers were invited to share their knowledge and ideas. Dr Sudershan Pasupuleti, a professor from the University of Texas in the United States, and Dr Sujata H Gaurkhede, an assistant professor from the Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi, both spoke at the event.

Dr Pasupuleti talked about how true empowerment brings big changes in society, the economy, and politics. He highlighted the importance of knowing one’s rights, getting education, building skills, working together, and taking collective action to help marginalized communities grow stronger.
