Hyderabad: On Friday, Telangana Employees JAC Chairman V Lachi Reddy expressed gratitude to the government for granting two Dearness Allowances (DAs). He praised the state for being supportive of its employees. Reddy highlighted the government’s dedication to addressing employee issues step by step and was pleased with the state cabinet’s recent decisions.
The cabinet had agreed to pay two DAs, establish a trust for the health scheme, release Rs 700 crore monthly for pending bills, and return employees transferred during elections to their original districts. Reddy thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, and officials for these actions.
Reddy mentioned the creation of a three-member committee led by Naveen Mittal to tackle employee concerns. This committee, including three IAS officers, will engage with employee unions across the state to discuss and address their needs. The JAC urged the government to provide cashless medical treatment, release pending bills, abolish the new pension scheme (CPS), and bring back the old pension scheme (OPS). They also requested the establishment of a special corporation for employees of neighboring services and additional transfer options through 317 GO.
The JAC emphasized resolving 24 non-financial issues first, while financial matters would be handled gradually. They suggested that bills under Rs 10 lakh should be cleared via e-Kuber, with the government agreeing to release Rs 700 crore each month to benefit employees.
A new trust will enhance the health scheme, ensuring cashless treatment through the Employees Health Scheme (EHS). The trust will include senior officers and employees to avoid complications. The JAC thanked Revenue Minister Srinivasa Reddy for the cabinet’s decisions and urged further efforts to address the concerns of other revenue employees.
