Hyderabad: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Attapur hosted the 4th annual Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra on Sunday. This event featured a grand procession where the deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra were ceremoniously moved from the temple onto beautifully decorated chariots.
The Rath Yatra started at 1 PM from the ISKCON Temple in Attapur and ended at 6 PM near Pillar No. 173, Sama Bhoopal Reddy Gardens. After the procession, attendees enjoyed vibrant cultural activities, including Harinam Sankirtan and devotional songs. A traditional shadow puppet show based on the Ramayana entertained the crowd.
A special offering called Chappan Bhog, consisting of 56 traditional dishes, was presented to the deities and later shared as Maha Prasadam with everyone. Thousands of devotees joined in, pulling the decorated chariots with devotion. They sang Lord Krishna’s holy names with joy, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual bliss. The event concluded with a divine darshan of Lord Jagannath, leaving everyone filled with happiness and spiritual contentment.
