Shubman Gill, a player for the Gujarat Titans, received backlash from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans after his team beat RCB and knocked them out of the IPL tournament. However, RCB captain Virat Kohli thanked his teammates, coaches, management, and fans for their support and said that they will come back stronger next season. Faf du Plessis, RCB’s Orange Cap holder, also thanked fans and wished other teams luck in the playoffs. RCB finished the IPL in sixth place with 14 points.
