In Jogulamba Gadwal district, District Collector B.M. Santosh announced that ₹140.07 crores have been transferred directly to the bank accounts of small and marginal farmers. This support comes under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme just in time for the Vanakalam (Kharif) crop season.
The scheme aims to ease farmers’ investment burdens, providing timely financial aid. By Thursday, June 19, 2025, funds reached 1,35,024 farmers who own up to four acres of land.
Farmers can now buy seeds, fertilizers, and pay labor costs without delay. This early financial support is crucial for smooth farming activities, noted the Collector.
The Agriculture Extension Department ensured accurate registration of farmers’ bank and land details on the Rythu Bharosa portal. Based on this verified information, funds were released to eligible farmers. The Collector promised that remaining farmers would soon receive their aid.
Collector Santosh emphasized the scheme’s role in providing economic relief and mental stability for farmers. By getting help before the sowing season, farmers avoid debt and begin cultivation confidently.
The government supports every acre of cultivable land, demonstrating its commitment to farmers. “This is not just about money; it’s a sign of the government’s trust and dedication to our farmers,” the Collector stated.
The Rythu Bharosa Scheme is seen as a key initiative to boost agricultural productivity and empower rural communities. It ensures that small and marginal farmers get the necessary support when they need it most.
