    Gadwal: In an important effort by the Telangana government, approval documents for the Indiramma Housing Scheme were given out in Gattu Mandal of the Gadwal area. The event was attended by local MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, District Collector B.Y.M. Santosh, and Additional Collector Lakshminarayana.

    The government aims to help underprivileged families own homes. The MLA and District Collector handed over housing documents to chosen families. In appreciation, local leaders and the PACS Chairman presented them with shawls and flowers.

    MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy spoke about the positive changes in Gattu Mandal, once known for poverty-driven migration. He has worked to bring government funds to improve the area. He proudly noted advancements in education, with local students now becoming teachers, police officers, and medical students.

    Under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government has fulfilled two of the six key promises made during elections. These include free bus travel for women and subsidized LPG cylinders at ₹500, along with 200 units of free electricity, farmer loan waivers, Rythu Bandhu support, ration cards, and fine rice distribution.

    The MLA emphasized that families living in rented huts will receive ₹5 lakhs per house through the Indiramma Housing Scheme to build permanent homes. In the first phase, 3,500 houses are approved for the Gadwal area, with 780 allotted to Gattu Mandal. He assured that all eligible people will get their benefits.

    District Collector B.Y.M. Santosh highlighted the government’s goal to eliminate hut dwellings in Telangana through the housing scheme. Each constituency gets 3,500 houses. He encouraged families to start construction within 45 days, with funds released directly into their bank accounts as construction progresses.

    A second phase will soon start to include more families in need. He pointed out the progress in Gattu Mandal, once one of Asia's most backward areas, now advancing in education and healthcare thanks to local leadership. He urged parents to focus on their children’s education, avoid child marriages, and build a better future.

    Many notable guests and public figures attended, including Agricultural Market Yard Chairman Kuruva Hanumanthu, Former State Chairman Gattu Thimmappa, and several others. Youth representatives, local leaders, and community activists also participated, showing strong public support for the government’s welfare initiatives.
